I am currently inundated with new experiences as I live and study here in Eskişehir, Turkey. I want to be able to record some of them. Here they are.

Just arrived

I am currently soaked in a downpour of new experience and want to be able to have some record of my time spent living and studying in Eskişehir, Turkey. Here I will spew out my musings and save them for when I make it to the cubicle farm or for the early stages of Alztimers (its going to happen). And I want to learn to blog.
View from the bedroom.
After the flight and 4 hr. bus ride from Istanbul, waiting to explore the city.

First thing we did was purchase water (Su). We have been told not to drink the water,  but haven't had any major consequences yet.  Spent some quality time in the bathroom after drinking the tap water (for science), but not sure if that was due to the water or all the beer consumed on the 4th of July.

View of the Porsuk river which runs through the center of Eskisehir.

We took a quick boat ride for 1TL.

Efes, a pilsner popular in Turkey. Comparable in taste (not price) to Bud, Miller, and Bush, but does the job.

#puremichigan. Found the Michigan plate in El Mundo, a travelers pub that serves free beer on Mondays.
